Classes

At the Stanground Sports Centre we offer a varient of classes and courses. Some of the available classes are shown below.

Circuits - Monday 6:15pm - 7:15pm, Wednesday 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Circuit training is a fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 5 minutes and then move on to another exercise. Some classes alternate an aerobic activity (like stepping or stationary cycling) with a muscle-strengthening activity (like using hand weights). Others focus exclusively on muscle toning or aerobic exercise. It increases your strength and aerobic fitness and burns lots of calories.

Early Hit (Gym based) - Tuesday 6:45am - 7:15am,

Hit and Core - Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm,

Bums and Tums - Thursday 6:15pm - 7:15pm

 

Aquafit - Monday 7:00pm - 8:00pm

You can work in shallow and/or deep water, wherever you are most comfortable. An excellent fitness class in the water for all age groups. Instructors are trained in the latest techniques in providing safe aquatic exercises to improve flexibility, aerobic capacity, muscular strength and endurance.

Yoga - Tuesday 7:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm

 

Spinning - Monday 7:30pm - 8:15pm, Tuesday 6:15pm - 7:00pm, Wednesday 6:15pm - 7:00pm, Sunday 10:15am - 11:00am

We have a large dedicated spinning studio with 21 bikes. Indoor cycling is a group exercise class performed on stationary bikes. During the class, the instructor simulates hill-climbing, sprints, and races. It is a fantastic cardiovascular workout. You will be kept motivated by the instructor, the people around you, and the music. Get prepared for the work hard! Water and towels are a must!

Zumba - Tuesday 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Zumba is a dance-based fitness class that uses a fusion of Latin and International rhythms with easy-to-follow moves. It includes both cardio and resistance training components designed to tone and sculpt the entire body. Zumba is designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels, class participants at any level can start Zumba right away.
