Pool Lifeguard Qualification
This comprehensive 5 day course covers a wide range of swimming pool supervision, first aid, CPR and rescue skills enabling all participants to deal with a swimming pool emergency with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. The content of this course meets the employers requirements contained in ‘Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pools.’
This course will provide the learner an internationally recognised Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) Pool Lifeguard qualification enabling to apply for employment in the leisure industry.
It is the accepted qualification at many pools to work as a qualified lifeguard. Being a lifeguard offers a fantastic foundation to a career in the leisure industry. Many individuals start work as a lifeguard and progress their career into other areas of the leisure centre environment (e.g. gym instructor / personal trainer, swimming instructor, sports coach) or by becoming a supervisor or duty manager with many progressing even further onto general manager and above. This demonstrates that the NPLQ is not just a qualification it is also a stepping stone into employment opening up many opportunities and career paths.
